Summary of our services

Medical transfers

(ground & air-ambulance [including Cape Verde and West coast of Africa])

Both ground & air transfers with/without medical staff. Ground ambulance transfers can be arranged on every Canary Island. Air-ambulance flights can be organized in between the Islands, from Cape Verde and West coast of Africa to Tenerife or Gran Canaria, or from the archipelago to the Spanish mainland or other destinations in Europe. At all times it should be indicated if necessary whether medical staff is to be provided by Canariassistance or if organized by the client.

Non-Medical transfers

(taxi, minivan, wheelchair adapted vehicles)

Transfers without assistance of medical staff. These can be from/to airport, or in between holiday address and hospitals. If driver is to help with luggage, pick-up/drop off in hospital room or assistance till check-in at the airport this should be indicated at time of booking. For wheelchair transfers it should be indicated whether client takes his own manual or electric wheelchair, or if this should be organized by our provider.

Equipment hire

(wheelchairs [electric/manual], scooters, electric beds, lifts, crutches etc.)

We offer our clients the possibility to hire any kind of equipment to make their stay more comfortable ranging from wheelchairs to scooters, electric beds, lifts, crutches and many more. As these items have a limited availability we suggest to book well in advance to ensure that the requested material will be available upon arrival. Equipment hire should also be prepaid at least 3 days before arrival.


(nurse, physiotherapy, doctor)

For clients discharged from hospital or travelers that need caretaking on holiday Canariassistance offers fully qualified and licensed caretakers (nurse, doctor, physiotherapy) for visiting the clients at their hotel or holiday residence. Clients should at all times provide the materials themselves, either bringing them from their home country or buying them at a local pharmacy. Detailed information about the client´s health condition is appreciated.

Oxygen Therapy , both gas and liquid

(liquid oxygen only available on Tenerife and Gran Canaria)

Oxygen therapy dependent clients are most welcome on the islands as we can provide gas oxygen in nearly all places. Liquid oxygen on the other hand is only available on Tenerife and Gran Canaria until further notice. For oxygen requests prepaid has to be done 1 week before arrival, and a prescription from a local doctor/specialist in country of origin is required, no older than 45 days at time of arrival.

Accessible Holidays AI

(hotel booking, airport transfer, excursions, equipment hire, homecare, oxygen therapy)

Canariassistance can assist both independent disabled travelers or specialized travel agencies with full package deals on Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote, meaning hotel booking, transfers, excursions, equipment hire, oxygen or other requirements to make the visit to the Canary Islands an enjoyable experience. Our aim is the client to be as free and independent as possible with the knowledge of having assistance nearby if needed. On arrival and departure one of our co-workers will be there to make sure everything runs smoothly.
